FAQ about the condo: 
Q. What we provide and what you need to bring
A. At check-in you should find the following items: 2+ toilet paper rolls, 1 box of tissue & enough bath towels in each of the bathrooms, 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen, a startup amount of garbage bags, laundry & dishwasher detergent, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner & body wash, and 2 hair dryers. We also provide boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs and an umbrella. We also have a Keurig Brewing System that takes K-Cups or K-Karafe Packs. We do not provide the cups or the packs but you are welcome to bring/buy your own and use the Keurig. 
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. Cancellation policies differ depending on the website you reserved our condo through:
Airbnb - 50% refund of the rental fee up until 1 week prior to arrival. Cleaning fee, lodging taxes & Airbnb fee are fully refundable.
HomeawayVRBO - 30 days (100% refund); 14 days (50% refund)
TripAdvisor - If the guest pays the full balance on time, they receive a 50% refund of the total cost if they cancel at least four weeks before check-in.
Our website - 30 days (100% refund). If you cancel within the 30 days of your reservation arrival date you are responsible for the entire fee and will not receive a refund unless the owner can re-book the property for the same time period at comparable rate.  The owner will do their best to re-book the property at the same price for the same time period. However, should the unit book for a lesser amount than was originally contracted for; you shall be responsible for any difference in booking fees.  
For your own peace of mind we recommend that you consider trip cancellation insurance. These policies typically cover circumstances like illness, accident, death in the family, etc. Although we are sympathetic to such emergencies altering your travel, this is a business for us, and you are responsible for insuring your trip to assure a refund for family emergencies. 
Q. How does the deposit work and when do we get it back?
A. We require $300 refundable damage deposit. Different booking sites treat this deposit differently:
Airbnb - they hold (don't charge) it on your card and if everything is ok after your check-out, you don't see any charges. 
Homeaway/VRBO $300 will be included as part of your rental payment and will be charged to your card. At check-out (once we hear from our housekeeper that the condo is ok) this deposit will be credited back to your card (it usually takes 2-3 business days for the Homeaway system to process this payment). 
TripAdvisor - $300 will be included as part of your rental payment and will be charged to your card by TripAdvisor. 10 days after your check-out date, this deposit will be credited back to your card by TripAdvisor. 
If you reserve our condo directly through us, we offer 2 payment methods - by debit/credit (Visa, Master Card, Discover) or by check (paper or electronic): 
If you pay $300 deposit by check, we cash it at the time of the reservation and refund it at check-out (as soon as we hear from our housekeeper) and mail you an electronic check to your address. 
If you pay by debit/credit card, 4 days prior to the check-in date we will put a hold on your card for $300 and will release this hold at check-out and no transaction will be processed on your card. 

Q. Is there a BBQ grill? 

A. Unfortunately our homeowner's association doesn't allow us to keep a BBQ grill on the balcony due to fire code. You are welcome to bring your own small grill if you are driving and use it by the pool or on the beach. There are also some BBQ grills available in the Isla Blanca park on the beach, a short walk from the condo, that you can use. And there was also a BBQ grill located by the rec room in the parking lot that was donated by one of the owners for everybody to use. You can check with the onsite office directly on that - 956-761-5526. 

Q. Is there assigned parking in the complex? 

A. No, there are no assigned parking in the complex, however, each condo is only supposed to have 2 cars. Our on site security make sure that everybody follows this rule, especially in the summer and holiday weeks. Exceptions can be made during off-season times, please let us know ahead of time so we can check with the office.   

Q. Where can we park our boat or an RV between Memorial Day and Labor Day? 

A. Unfortunately you will not be able to park a boat or an RV in our parking lot.  There is a specific rule that was created by the homeowner's association to make sure that there is enough parking spaces during the busy time of the year - from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  They are very strict about this rule, not even the owners are able to park there boats in the parking lot during this time.  We heard some of our guests used Jim's Marina in the past. They charge $25/day for a wet slip and they are extremely nice.

Q. Do people usually rent cars when they come down? 

A. Most of our renters are driving from Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and other states nearby. I believe, the small amount that fly do rent a car but occasionally, may be, once a year, we would get questions on restaurants and things to do within walking distance of the condo but that could be because people don't want to drive. 
Our condo is located on the southern side of the island, right next to Schlitterbahn Water Park. We normally recommend to people to rent a car, it makes it a little easier. There is a free shuttle that goes up and down the Padre Blvd every 30 min but the car definitely makes it much easier to move around the island. You will need to walk about quarter of a mile from the complex to the bus stop.


Q. Do you provide a discount to military, firefighters, police officers? 

A. Yes, we do offer 10% discount in the off season (Sep-May, non-holiday weeks, excludes Spring Break). Please provide valid proof of employment.
